Josée Gervais

Josée Gervais is a partner in Gowling WLG's Montréal office and leads its Labour, Employment & Equalities Group.

Josée acts on behalf of several national and international employers, advising on all aspects of employment and labour law, including occupational health and safety, pay equity, human rights, French language in the workplace, and labour relations.

She frequently assists clients with human resources management matters such as employment terminations, disability and performance management, employee monitoring and surveillance, investigations into violence and harassment claims, and collective bargaining negotiations.

Josée also represents both provincially and federally regulated employers before civil and administrative courts and tribunals, including the Administrative Labour Tribunal, the Canada Industrial Relations Board, the Québec Superior Court and grievance arbitrators. She often acts as a spokesperson for public and private sector employers in complex collective bargaining, helping them navigate labour disputes.

An accomplished author, Josée has contributed to numerous publications on employment and labour law. She is also a sought-after speaker, regularly invited to share her insights with industry professionals.
