Marie-Josée Leclerc is a notary in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office, practising within the Business Law Group with a primary focus on commercial real estate and leasing.
Over the course of her career, Marie-Josée has primarily acted on behalf of tenants in the retail, healthcare, telecommunications and renovation sectors. She has extensive experience negotiating and drafting a variety of leases, from the simplest to the most complex, for diverse real estate structures, including existing buildings, new real estate developments, condominiums, historic buildings, as well as special-use and mixed-use buildings.
Having worked at several law firms and served in-house as chief legal officer, Marie-Josée has developed strong business acumen, operational knowledge and strategic thinking.
Her dual experience in legal and corporate settings, combined with her deep understanding of the business environment, allows her to offer legal and strategic advice on all aspects of commercial real estate law. Marie-Josée’s training as a notary also enables her to provide support on matters pertaining to real estate titles, transactions and financing.
She practises law in both English and French.
