Menelika Bekolo Mekomba is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Montréal office.
Menelika Bekolo Mekomba completed her bachelor of laws at the Université de Montréal in May of 2023 and received several civil law awards during her studies. She also holds a bachelors and a Master’s degree in Electrical engineering from Polytechnique Montréal, as well as an Advanced graduate degree in Management from McGill University.
While at law school, Menelika continued her career as an engineer and now has roughly fifteen years of experience in the energy sector, having managed and administered large-scale engineering projects and contracts.
She has held engineering and management positions with national and international companies, including consulting engineering firms and major players in the energy sector such as the Régie de l’énergie du Québec and Hydro-Québec. She has also acted as an international advisor for governments on electrical infrastructure projects.
As member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Menelika also has significant experience in the area of governance and sits on the boards of various public, professional and non-profit organizations.
