Michael R. Clancy

Michael Clancy is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the area of business law. 

Michael has extensive experience in a variety of corporate commercial matters including mergers, acquisitions, commercial leasing and secured financing. His client base ranges from local private entrepreneurs to international public corporations.

Michael has held various management positions within the firm's Ottawa office, most recently as head of the Ottawa business law department.

Michael is a director and officer of a number of corporations, including companies trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange and the New York Stock Exchange.

Michael provides pro bono legal services to a number of non-profit organizations and charities.

In addition to his legal practice, each year Michael coaches youth teams in football, baseball, lacrosse and hockey, and has received a number of community service awards from various local associations.
