Pierre Champagne

Pierre Champagne is a partner in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. He practises in various areas of civil and commercial litigation.

Pierre has been extensively involved in various civil and commercial litigation, including injunctive relief proceedings. He has acted on behalf of both public and private sector clients from a variety of industries and professions, including: accountants, denturologists, engineers, investment advisors, insurance brokers and agents, insurance adjusters, home inspectors, school boards, municipalities, religious institutions, professional health associations, lawyers, banks, business owners, software distributors, as well as construction and insurance companies.

With extensive experience in front of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Court of Appeal for Ontario, the Federal Court of Canada and various administrative tribunals, Pierre has a strong reputation of being client oriented and successful with dispute resolution.

Pierre has taught at the University of Ottawa since 1994. From 1994 to 2002, he taught law for engineers in the Faculty of Engineering and, since 2003, he has taught civil procedure with the Faculty of Law.

Pierre is fluently bilingual and practises law in both English and French. He is director and treasurer of Le Théâtre du Trillium of Ottawa.
