Rasan Sahota

Rasan Sahota is an associate in Gowling WLG's Nuclear & Energy Group.
Recently, she received the Harold G. Fox Scholarship with The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple in London, England. She spent a year working with leading barristers in various sets of chambers, along with marshalling at the UK Supreme Court and the Old Bailey.
She completed her JD at Queen’s University. During law school, Rasan served as a legal intern with the Department of Justice’s Natural Resources Canada Legal Services Unit. She is also passionate about the intersection of technology and law, and worked as a legal research analyst in the Conflicts Analytics Lab, where the team explored artificial intelligence development in the legal sphere.
Prior to attending law school, Rasan completed a Bachelor of Science with Honours, double majoring in biochemistry and political science at the University of Toronto.
During the summer before entering law school, Rasan joined a team of student researchers to produce a report on the impacts of COVID-19 on young Ontarians, in which the team provided policy recommendations to the Government of Ontario.
