Richard Du

Richard Du is an articling student in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office.
Richard completed his JD at Osgoode Hall Law School. During his studies, Richard represented Osgoode as an oralist in the Harold G. Fox Intellectual Property Moot and was a student editor on Carswell's Intellectual Property Journal. In addition, he mentored high school students interested in future legal studies through Law in Action Within Schools, and served as a peer mentor.
Prior to entering law school, Richard completed a BSc in mathematics at the University of New Brunswick. During his undergraduate studies, Richard received a Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) Undergraduate Student Research Award grant to study geometric algebra and 3D printing. He also served as president of the UNB Student Union and was a student representative on the university's board of governors.
