Yousef Kamal

Yousef Kamal is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Advocacy Group. His practice focuses on construction and infrastructure litigation, where he acts for a broad range of clients – including owners, developers, builders, contractors, consultants and lenders – in complex disputes arising from commercial construction projects and large-scale infrastructure builds.

Yousef regularly advises clients in matters involving construction defects, delays, payment disputes, lien claims and professional negligence. He has represented clients before the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Appeal, as well as in private mediations and arbitrations.

Yousef is committed to delivering cost-effective, practical solutions tailored to each client’s unique objectives, whether through negotiated resolution or vigorous courtroom advocacy.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Yousef practised construction law at a leading full-service Bay Street firm and previously worked with a multinational industrial contracting company on various infrastructure and megaprojects. Yousef holds an LL.B. from the University of Law in London, UK, and is currently completing his LL.M. at Osgoode Hall Law School with a dual concentration in construction law and securities law.
