ThinkHouse Privacy Club delivers interactive, deep-dive workshops covering various data protection topics that are everyday issues, relevant to all sectors. We use practical examples and case studies to workshop the issues collectively, giving attendees the opportunity to discuss and learn from other in-house counsel, as well as gaining valuable insight and guidance from our data protection experts. We hope to create a strong network of in-house counsel and those responsible for privacy that enables members to share experiences and challenges in a collaborative environment.
In these workshops, the topics we will cover are:
Records of Processing Activity (ROPA). This session will provide a practical overview of the challenges involved in documenting your organisation's data processing activities. We'll look at what information your ROPA should contain and why.
Complaints under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 (DUAA). DUAA's new statutory complaints handling regime comes into force in June 2026, requiring organisations to implement a formal process for handling data protection complaints. In this session we will look at what you need to do to prepare for implementation and what steps your organisation will need to take from June under the new regime.
