Speaking recently with Global News, Frank Sur, head of Gowling WLG's Corporate Practice Group, shared his insights on the ongoing efforts to remove interprovincial trade barriers within Canada. The conversation comes at a time when U.S. tariffs are reigniting discussions about economic integration across provinces.

"There has been work [on removing trade barriers within Canada] and right now the topic is coming up, because of the U.S. tariffs and I think now is the time when there is this momentum, to try and get it through and remove some of these exemptions that exist under the [Canadian Free Trade] agreement," said Sur.
