Recent notable experience includes:

• Acting for Transworld Payment Solutions Limited (in liquidation) and its liquidator in relation to a c.£300 million fraud claim against First Curacao International Bank and Mr Duess. The case involved complex claims for fraud, dishonest assistance, fraudulent trading and breach of fiduciary duties.
• Acting for the joint liquidators of Hellas Telecommunications (Luxembourg) II in relation to a c.€1 billion claim in the Luxembourg courts.
• Acting for a Brazilian judicial administrator in relation to complex fraud claims, involving applications to the English Court to appoint liquidators over English law limited liability partnerships.
• Acting for the liquidator of an English company in relation to enforcement of a Dubai judgment in England.
• Acting for the liquidators of various BVI companies in the long-running asset recovery matter involving the former mayor of Sao Paulo, Paulo Maluf, in relation to the misappropriation of public funds. This was the largest and most wide-ranging corruption case undertaken by Brazil, involving several jurisdictions in the investigation and repatriation of asset
