Daniel Chomski is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Advocacy Group. Dan's developing litigation practice covers a broad range of areas including business disputes, professional liability and regulation, civil matters, and procurement. He acts for clients of all sizes across many industries and sectors including real estate, healthcare, professional services, technology, and public sector/government.
Dan practiced at a leading national law firm in Toronto before joining Gowling WLG. He gained experience with complex contract disputes, class action defence, shareholder disputes, securities litigation, and product liability.
Prior to attending law school Dan held senior positions on Parliament Hill, which included advising the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of Canada and the Leader of the Government in the House of Commons. He also served as a Maritime Surface Officer in the Canadian Forces Naval Reserve. The Royal Canadian Navy's Naval Officer Training Centre awarded him with the Welland Shield for his leadership and contributions to the development of his fellow officers.
Dan obtained his law degree from the University of Ottawa where he graduated cum laude and was a Dean's Legal Research and Writing Fellow.
