Ella Ryu

Ella Ryu is an associate in Gowling WLG's Toronto office.

Ella received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Toronto. During her legal studies, Ella served on the Students’ Law Society as the secretary of the Student Life and Academic Committee and the administrative officer. She also volunteered with the International Human Rights Program’s Cameroon Anglophone Crisis Database of Atrocities Working Group.

Prior to law school, Ella completed her Bachelor of International Economics with High Honours at the University of British Columbia. During her undergraduate studies, Ella completed a co-op placement at the BC Financial Services Authority, where she supported regulatory oversight of credit unions by analyzing economic trends and assessing market conditions.
