
Bio
Harper Kennedy is a summer student in Gowling WLG’s Vancouver office. She is entering her third year of law school at the University of Calgary.
During law school, Harper has been actively involved with Pro Bono Students Canada, volunteering as a Youth Criminal Court Mock Trial Project Member in its pilot year and later as a Project Lead for the Hearsay Podcast. She is also Co-President of the Intellectual Property Law Club and a member of the Student Wellness Committee.
In Harper’s first year, she was a finalist in the 2024 William McGillivray Moot. In her second year, she competed in the 2025 Davies Corporate/Securities Law Moot, where her team won third best factum. She also attended the University of Calgary’s Corporate Law Summer Institute in London, studying cross-border business transactions and corporate legal structures in the UK.
Prior to law school, Harper obtained a Bachelor of Arts with distinction from the University of Victoria. She then worked as a Legal Operations Assistant for a Notary Public in Victoria and served as a Board Director for an arts-focused non-profit.
