Bio
Hilena Demelie is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Waterloo Region office. She completed the English Common Law Program at the University of Ottawa.
Before starting law school, Hilena attended the University of Waterloo where she obtained an undergraduate degree. While studying at Waterloo, Hilena volunteered for numerous non-profit organizations in the area.
Hilena is passionate about innovation in the legal field. During her first year of law school at Lincoln Alexander School of Law (Toronto Metropolitan University), she founded a legal tech clinic, which provided law students with the opportunity to be paired up with a startup company that is a part of the Legal Innovation Zone.
In her spare time, Hilena enjoys exploring different workout classes and trying new food.
