
Bio
Isabella Papalia is an articling student in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office.
Isabella recently earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. She developed strong oral advocacy skills through mooting competitions such as the Legal Research and Writing Moot and the Zuber Moot. Beyond academics, she was actively involved in student organizations, including the Windsor Review of Legal and Social Issues and the Windsor Sports and Entertainment Law Club.
As a peer mentor, Isabella supported fellow students, demonstrating her commitment to community and empowerment. Her interest in law and media also led her to volunteer with Variety Quebec, where she combined her passion for film with accessible advocacy.
Before law school, Isabella completed a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Law and Society at Concordia University, achieving Dean’s List recognition, where she developed a strong foundation in understanding client needs and fostering meaningful connections.
Outside of work, Isabella enjoys baking and following Formula 1 racing.
