Ishan Zahoor

Ishan Zahoor is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office, practising in the Business Law Group. His practice focuses on corporate law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and securities, capital markets and commercial transactions.

Ishan has over seven years of extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, and private equity. His professional journey spans multiple countries, including Germany and India, providing him with a unique international perspective.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Ishan worked as a Legal Counsel and Manager for a prominent investment management company in Hamburg, Germany, where he advised on funds and diverse portfolio related transactions. Ishan also worked for international law firms headquartered in London and New York, advising on M&A and capital markets transactions.

Ishan holds a bachelor's degree in law from Jamia Millia Islamia (New Delhi, India) and a master’s degree in Finance Law from Institute for Law and Finance, Goethe University (Frankfurt am Main, Germany).
