Sarah Dyer is a Birmingham-based partner who specialises in helping clients to avoid disputes and also in resolving disputes in the construction industry. She acts on behalf of employers, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors on issues arising out of highly complex international and domestic projects. She focuses on major infrastructure, rail, civil engineering, and nuclear projects but has a wide range of experience across the construction industry. She quickly gets to the nub of a dispute and works to resolve matters quickly and commercially. She is very personable and easy to work with.
Sarah is very experienced in advising and resolving disputes arising under all major forms of contract (including complex PFI arrangements, JCT, ICE, NEC, IChemE, MF/1, GC Works and Network Rail Standard forms) and her experience includes advising on extensions of time, delay and disruption, unforeseen ground conditions claims, process engineering disputes, unavailability deduction disputes under PFIs, termination issues. She has appeared before Judges in the Technology and Construction Court and Royal Courts of Justice and also before arbitrators and adjudicators as an advocate. She regularly acts for parties in adjudications and is experienced in ADR, including mediation. She also regularly delivers training and seminars to clients on contract law, dispute avoidance and methods of dispute resolution.
