Shane Cosman

Shane Cosman is an associate in Gowling WLG’s Ottawa office, practicing in the Real Estate group. His practice focuses primarily on real estate transactions and commercial leasing.

Shane completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Ottawa. During his legal studies, he served as an associate editor for the Ottawa Law Review. Shane also worked at Corporations Canada, assisting businesses with compliance under the Canada Business Corporations Act.

Prior to entering law school, Shane completed an Honours Bachelor of Science in Human Kinetics at the University of Ottawa. He was actively involved in the university’s health promotion program, working and volunteering in roles aimed at educating fellow students about wellness. He also gained experience working with Elections Canada, supporting their operational incidents and complaints department.

Outside of work, Shane enjoys spending time with family, experimenting with new recipes, and cheering on his favourite sports teams.
