Sunny Yun is an associate in Gowling WLG's Ottawa office. Sunny’s practice focuses on corporate law, corporate commercial law, and mergers & acquisitions. Sunny has experience advising and supporting clients across a breadth of industries and sectors, including but not limited to financial services, professional services, technology, construction, real estate management, transportation, food and beverage, media and advertising, and retail and consumer products.
Sunny completed her JD/MBA at the University of Toronto Faculty of Law and Rotman School of Management. Prior to law and business school, Sunny completed her B.Arts Sc. (Combined Honours, History) at McMaster University. At McMaster University, Sunny focused her studies on American History during the Civil Rights Era and conducted historical research into the NAACP Legal Defense Fund’s litigation strategy in the landmark Brown v. Board of Education (1954) case, in which the Supreme Court found the Plessy doctrine of “separate but equal” as applied in public schools to be unconstitutional.
