We are seeking a highly motivated, results oriented team player to join our Information Technology team as an Applications Specialist. This position will be based in the Toronto, Ottawa or Montréal office.
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, primarily focused on providing application support to several commonly used and legal specific applications. You will contribute to the ongoing development and upkeep of our automated Windows build and will be responsible for coordinating and reporting on the deployment of software packages and updates. You will provide quality assurance and testing of software programs prior to deployment; and will perform a variety of tasks relating to application administration.
The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in administering Microsoft SCCM, with a strong understanding of Microsoft Windows 7 / 10 operating systems, Microsoft Group Policy, and Microsoft automation / scripting (e.g. PowerShell).
A Microsoft object-oriented programming/development background (.NET, VB) or SQL administration / developer background would be considered valuable but not essential.
Previous experience working in a legal environment and/or supporting multilingual user environments (particularly Canadian French and/or Russian) would be similarly considered valuable but not essential.
The position requires an organized individual with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment with a minimum of supervision. The candidate will be detail-oriented and should possess excellent time management abilities.
