Gowling WLG advises Exeter on CDN$240-million acquisition via a negotiated takeover bid by Goldcorp

Gowling WLG advised Exeter Resource Corporation (Toronto Stock Exchange, NYSE-MKT LLC and Frankfurt Stock Exchange), a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the exploration and development of the Caspiche project in Chile, on a negotiated CDN$240-million takeover bid made by Goldcorp Inc. (Toronto Stock Exchange and NYSE) for 100% of the shares of Exeter in exchange for shares of Goldcorp.

Exeter is a Canadian mineral exploration company focused on the exploration and development of the Caspiche project in Chile. Goldcorp is a senior gold producer focused on responsible mining practices with safe, low-cost production from a high-quality portfolio of mines.
