Seminar

This fall, Gowling WLG is hosting a number of breakfast seminars as part of our Insight Series. The informative seminars will include discussions on recent legal developments, emerging trends and issues that will have an impact on your business.

On May 25, 2018, the European Union (EU) General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into effect. The GDPR has had a significant impact on Canadian companies doing business in the EU — whether or not they have subsidiaries or branches there. The new regulation strengthens individuals' data protection rights. It also saddles additional data privacy obligations on EU and EEA-based organizations, as well as on organizations outside the EU that process data or monitor behaviour.

To help you better understand the implications of the regulation, please join intellectual property professionals Paul Armitage and Danhoé Reddy-Girard, a Paris-based Gowling WLG partner, for this informative session.

This seminar is eligible for up to 1 hour toward the LSBC's CPD requirement.
