Details on each session are below.

Session 1: Cybersecurity 2021 – Threatscape & protecting your internal business client

Jan. 21, 2021 from 3-4 p.m. ET

The continuing global pandemic has led to a heightened risk of familiar types of cyber attacks, as well as an influx of new cyber threats. In this session, we will review the cyber threat landscape for 2021 and the anatomy of a cyber breach and related responses. We will also discuss how law firms can protect themselves, and how to best advise and protect their clients.

Session 2: Cross-border & international data privacy issues

Jan. 26, 2021 from 3-4 p.m. ET

In many jurisdictions, changes in privacy law were common throughout 2020. This gave rise to new concerns and compliance issues for companies doing business abroad. In this session, we'll review what's changed in several jurisdictions (from the new California statute to the EU's Schrems II decision, and proposed changes to Canada's PIPEDA) and discus what these changes mean for American companies and the lawyers who advise them.
