This is a unique opportunity to hear from those directly involved in delivering the venues, accommodation and infrastructure for the Games in this complex and vibrant city. They will share how they have responded to and addressed the challenges posed by shortened timescales, multiple stakeholders and organisation of a global sporting event in the light of the labour and supply chain challenges wrought by Brexit and the global pandemic. The panel will also discuss what the lasting impact will be for the region and the UK.

The discussion will be moderated by Construction & Engineering Partner, Mike O'Shea. Mike will be joined by an illustrious panel at the forefront of B2022 built asset delivery:

  • Craig Cooper, Director Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games - Birmingham City Council
  • Alex Kirby, Director of Venue, Village Development and Overlay - Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games
  • Anne Shaw, Executive Director - Transport for West Midlands
  • Neil Trubshaw, Commercial Director - Wates Construction

This seminar will be of particular relevance to commercial and in-house legal teams in the construction and engineering, projects and infrastructure, supply chain, regeneration, procurement, transport and sports sectors. Please use this RSVP link to secure your place.

We hope you can join us on Wednesday 2nd March for what promises to be an engaging panel session.
