Employment Update Series

As we head into 2022, we will be taking our usual look ahead at developments in employment law and the world of work. It looks set to be another uncertain start to the year with the pandemic still present, but employers still need to plan as best they can and our next series of live webinars are designed to help you with that planning. Please join us for 4 live webinars in January and February, developed specifically for anyone dealing with HR and ER matters within their organisation, whether HR professionals, in-house lawyers or others. All of the webinars will start at 11:00 and will last approximately 40 minutes, including time for questions.

Speaker – Simon Stephen: Tuesday 25th January 2022 at 11:00 - 11:40
Whistleblowing – bringing you up to speed

Whistleblowing is always in the news and is a constantly developing area. Whether it's from the pandemic, the EU directive, a Tribunal claim, a corporate scandal or part of broader ESG matters, there are many lessons to learn from the recent past months. This webinar will pull them together to help you future proof your organisation and make whistleblowing an asset, rather than a risk.

Speaker –Vivienne Reeve: Thursday 27th January 2022 at 11:00 - 11:40
Working with the Menopause

With an estimated 13 million peri-menopausal and menopausal women in the UK workforce and the number of menopause related Tribunal claims rising, understanding its impact on women at work and your legal obligations as an employer is a must do. Join us for a walk through the legal, practical and the diversity & inclusion issues arising.

Speaker – Martin Chitty: Tuesday 1st February 2022 at 11:00 - 11:40
Legal and organisation issues around hybrid working

Whether it's hybrid, agile or the "new normal", employers need to take a wider view than just the legal formalities. Equally important to your success will be clarity in communication, expectation setting, avoiding presenteeism, sub-conscious bias, FOMO, access, equipment and much more. We will be discussing these issues to help you plan for the future in this webinar.

Speaker – Jonathan Chamberlain: Thursday 3rd February 2022 at 11:00 - 11:40
Update on developments in trade union rights

This webinar will update you on important recent cases affecting trade union rights. Hailed as "Forever banning negotiation outside the collective bargain", the Supreme Court's decision in Kostal seems to give employers little room for manoeuvre – but is it as bad as it seems? Does the broad view of "trade union activity" in the RyanAir blacklisting case indicate a new and more protective approach from the Courts or are these cases narrow and fact specific with little impact on your businesses?

During the sessions, the speakers will provide useful information and practical tips on their respective topics, and will answer as many questions as possible in the time available.

Please use the registration link to sign up for the sessions that you would like to attend.
