NPPF 2024 - What does it mean for you?
17 January 2025
09:00-11:30
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) 2024 was published by the Government on 12 December 2024 – but what does this mean for you and your business?
Join Gowling WLG and Kings Chambers to explore the new challenges and opportunities offered by the updated NPPF. The event will be chaired by Gowling WLG partner, Toni Weston, and will feature a keynote presentation from Killian Garvey. They will also be joined by Gowling WLG's planning experts; Cairo Nickolls, Richard Thurling, Ben Stansfield, and Tim Sharp.
The event will touch on key topics, including:
- Examining if the NPPF is pro-growth and looking into the effects it will have on planning consents
- An in-depth analysis of plan-making, including transitional arrangements, decision-making, the green belt, and the newly introduced grey belt
- What does the framework mean for housing supply, and the wider economic, energy and community development required?
During the event, there will be an opportunity to deep-dive into the issues that matter to you in structured breakout sessions focusing on the implications for housing delivery, commercial and industrial development, and infrastructure and energy.
We hope you can join us for what promises to be an engaging and insightful session.
