Gowling WLG advises Ovivo Inc. on $180-million acquisition by SKion Water International GmbH in partnership with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec.

On September 16, 2016, SKion Water International GmbH (SKion GmbH) in partnership with Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (Caisse) have completed its $180-million acquisition of Ovivo Inc. (Ovivo) by way of a plan of arrangement with Ovivo's shareholders.

Ovivo is a global provider of equipment, technology and systems dedicated to the treatment of water and wastewater.

SKion GmbH is the investment company of German entrepreneur Susanne Klatten.

Caisse is a long-term institutional investor that manages funds primarily for public and parapublic pension and insurance plans.

Gowling WLG advised Ovivo with a team led by Robert Dorion that included Rafal Wrzesien, Michael Garellek, Joëlle Boisvert, Pierre Lissoir, Tiffany Lee Bianchi, Marc-André Godard and Laura Gheorghiu.
