Gowling WLG has acted for the management team of Elgin, the home of roadworks.org, on the sale of Roadworks Information Limited to Bridgepoint Growth I and the subsequent re-investment by certain members of the management team into Elgin.

Roadworks.org is a local and national planning, management and communications hub for roadworks, road closures and traffic disruptions. The investment by Bridgepoint Growth will enable Elgin to accelerate its growth ambitions for roadworks.org and extend and develop its range of services.

Duncan Calam, a partner at Bridgepoint Growth, said: "This is an opportunity for Bridgepoint Growth to invest in a high quality, SaaS annuity business and to help it internationalise. Elgin is at the heart of the digital transport revolution, producing cost effective real-time software solutions for the world of connected vehicles and genuinely helping highway authorities to reduce congestion and costs."

The transaction was led by Gowling WLG corporate Principal Associate Stephen Bowman and partner Oliver Riley, supported by associate Tom Smith and trainee Chris Kay.

CEO and co-founder of Roadworks, James Harris, added: "I am hugely grateful for Gowling WLG's diligence and hard work facilitating the deal on such a tight timetable and in looking after my interests throughout."
