On-demand seminar: The Business of Brexit

48 minute read
25 July 2016

The United Kingdom has voted to leave the European Union. And although the U.K.'s withdrawal from the EU likely won't happen for at least two years, organizations around the world are anxiously wondering what Brexit will mean for their business.

To address these questions in a Canadian context, Gowling WLG recently offered a series of Brexit seminars in cities across Canada, titled "The Business of Brexit: How will you be impacted?"

Led by Gowling WLG Canada CEO Peter Lukasiewicz and partners Mark Ledwell and Kevin Sartorio, this on-demand seminar - based on our Toronto session held on July 13, 2016 - provides an overview of:

  • The process for the U.K. to withdraw from the EU
  • The possible post-Brexit U.K./EU relationships
  • The issues Canadian businesses should focus on
  • What Brexit could mean for the Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA)
  • Brexit's impact on intellectual property rights
