In its recent ranking "Germany's best lawyers", the publication "Handelsblatt" has listed Dr Andreas Woelfle as one of the "best lawyers" in M&A / Corporate. "Handelsblatt" is a German daily comparable to the Financial Times.

Andreas Woelfle's reputation is based on more than 20 years of experience in the areas of M&A and Corporate law, which he utilises to support his clients when they are faced with complex, international transactions.

Recent work involves Andreas Woelfle advising Bacanora Minerals regarding the acquisition of a stake in SolarWorld Solicium, as well as US-listed Convergys in regard to their acquisition of the German management service group buw. Besides growing Gowling WLG's Stuttgart Gowling WLG office, Andreas Woelfle is also deeply involved in the firm's further expansion in Germany.

The recognition by Handelsblatt is based on a "peer-review" principle whereby lawyers are asked which lawyers from law firms other than their own, they would recommend, if they could not accept a matter due to a lack of time or conflicts of interest. The publishing house "Handelsblatt" conducted the ranking together with the renowned US publisher "Best Lawyers", which also lists Andreas Woelfle as one of the leading lawyers in Corporate / M&A.

Andreas Woelfle has also been awarded by the renowned British law firm research service Chambers - as a "Foreign expert for India".
