Gowling WLG named leading firm by Chambers & Partners in UK 2023 rankings
Our legal teams and lawyers have again been praised for stand-out legal and commercial prowess in the Chambers & Partners UK 2023 rankings.
Gowling WLG has secured leading rankings in the UK, London and the West Midlands across its range of services and sectors, including Real Estate, Financial Institutions & Services, Corporate & Commercial, Government & Public Sector, and Technology.
Based on independent research, client and peer feedback, Chambers & Partners recognises firms for technical legal ability and team depth, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, and value for money.
In total, Gowling WLG achieved 34 leading rankings this year, supporting the firm's legal market credentials as an advisor to clients in the UK and beyond.
Of the latest figures, Gowling WLG claims eight prestigious 'Band 1' rankings, including 'stand-alone' top bandings for Construction and Intellectual Property, as well as marked success for Corporate, Energy & Natural Resources, Environment, Employment, Life Sciences, Pensions, and Real Estate.
A total of 69 lawyers are recognised by Chambers & Partners for their exceptional client service – showcasing the firm's legal talent at all levels. 13 lawyers feature across a total 14 rankings in the elite "Band 1", "Eminent Practitioner", "Senior Statesperson", and "Star Individuals" lists of the leading individuals in each practice area.
An additional three lawyers are named in the "Up and Coming" list, with a further featured in the "Star Associates" list. Overall, the firm records two new lawyer inclusions, with another six lawyers achieving upward ranking moves this year.
The latest Chambers & Partners rankings follow 'Tier 1' results in The Legal 500 UK 2023, in which the firm recorded 65 practice area rankings, and 74 individual accolades across London and the West Midlands.
