Our Real Estate team is celebrating success at the 2023 Insider West Midlands Property Awards after being crowned 'Property Law Firm of the Year'.
The Insider West Midlands Property Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of the people, businesses and organisations that have designed, developed, funded, built and managed the built environment in the West Midlands region.
The esteemed 'Property Law Firm of the Year' award acknowledges firms in the region that have significantly impacted the property industry. This latest award follows on from previous successes in this category, with the team claiming the award in 2022 and 2020.
This year, the judges were impressed by the firm's work advising clients on "some of the largest property deals in the Midlands", Gowling WLG's "huge commitment to sustainability and ESG in its work", and "its specialism in large-scale build-to-rent deals is helping to drive forward Birmingham's residential sector".
The award underscores the team's outstanding work on various property-related transactions, including advisory to Moda Living on a joint venture with Aviva Capital Partners for a 1,000 build to rent (BTR) apartment site in Digbeth.
A specialist team from across the firm also advised NFU Mutual on its investment into premium BTR developments across the UK and Apsley House Capital on a Birmingham BTR scheme.
