Gowling WLG Life Sciences team wins "Impact Deal of the Year" at LMG Life Sciences 2024 Americas Awards
Gowling WLG's Life Sciences team has received the award for "Impact Deal of the Year" at the LMG Life Sciences 2024 Americas Awards.
The award recognizes the team's work in the CNL and AECL joint venture with ITM deal, where ITM and CNL announced the launch of their joint venture in the global production of a rare medical isotope.
Gowling WLG advised ITM with respect to this joint venture with a team led by Marcus Hinkley, supported by Ahab Abdel-Aziz and Magda Hanebach (nuclear); Anita Nador (IP/life sciences); Joseph McDonald (corporate); Ian Macdonald and Elad Gafni (competition); Michael Bussmann (tax); and Matthijs van Gaalen (lending). They were assisted by law clerks Charmaine Craig and Rhena Verayo, and legal assistant Karen Gorman.
The LMG Life Sciences awards program honours the top life sciences practitioners and firms in the US, Canada, Brazil and Europe. Since 2014, winners are selected through rigorous research, recognizing innovative work in the sector over a 12-month period.
