We are delighted to announce that Stuart Young, Partner at Gowling WLG, has been elected President of the World Law Group (WLG) during the recent WLG Summit Seattle '25.

The World Law Group is a leading global network of independent law firms, connecting legal professionals across jurisdictions to deliver seamless, high-quality service worldwide. Stuart's appointment reflects his outstanding leadership and commitment to fostering collaboration across borders.

Alongside Stuart, the newly elected Board of Directors will serve a two-year term:

  • Secretary: Ignacio Minorini Lima, Bruchou & Funes de Rioja
  • Treasurer: Per Lidman, Setterwalls Advokatbyrå
  • Directors: Alfredo D'Aniello (Gianni & Origoni), Suganthi Singam (Shearn Delamore & Co.), Michelle Vigod (Goodmans LLP)

The current regional directors, Luc Attlan (Faegre Drinker), Brendan Clark (MinterEllison) and Dr Jessica Mohaupt (CMS), will continue for the second year of their terms.

Stuart will lead the newly elected Board of Directors in advancing WLG's mission to connect leading law firms worldwide and deliver exceptional client service across jurisdictions.
