Gowling WLG has acted for longstanding client VinaCapital Vietnam Opportunity Fund Limited (VOF) in relation to its move from AIM to the premium listing segment of the UK Listing Authority's Official List and to trading on the London Stock Exchange's Main Market for listing securities.

VOF in parallel also migrated its place of incorporation from the Cayman Islands to Guernsey.

Gowling WLG has acted for VOF since its inception in 2003 and the move to the Official List marks the next step in the evolution of the company. It is one of only six investment funds to have made the move from AIM to the Official List, and the first since 2011.

The Gowling WLG team was led by investment funds partner John Reed, with assistance from associate Emily Troubridge.

John Reed commented: "We're pleased to have helped VOF with its move to the Official List, which marks a new chapter of growth for the fund."

With a market cap of c.£371 million, VOF is the largest London-listed investment fund focused exclusively on investment in Vietnam.

Gowling WLG's 60-strong Corporate team has extensive experience across the full spectrum of corporate advice including equity capital markets on AIM and the Full List, investment funds, private equity and both public and private mergers and acquisitions.
