Gowling WLG mourns the loss of Ottawa partner Joel Taller

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of our friend and colleague Joel Taller, an Ottawa-based partner, who passed away on May 13, 2017.

Joel was one of Canada's preeminent product regulatory lawyers, and was a member of the Gowling WLG team for 34 years. He joined the firm as an articling student in 1983, was called to the Bar in 1985 and became a partner in 1991.

In addition to managing a strong regulatory practice, Joel was committed to developing and nurturing the careers of younger lawyers and professionals. He also made significant contributions to the leadership of Gowling WLG, having served as a firm trustee for a number of years.

Gowling WLG extends its deepest condolences to Joel's family. We will remember him for his generous spirit, his support of others, his mentorship, his professionalism and his leadership.
