Leading employment and labour lawyer Will Cascadden rejoins Gowling WLG

Gowling WLG is pleased to share that Will Cascadden has rejoined the firm's Employment, Labour & Equalities Group as a partner in Calgary.

Cascadden's practice encompasses a comprehensive range of employment and labour issues, from collective bargaining and group dismissals, to policy development and human rights issues. His clients include employers across a breadth of sectors, including oil and gas, oilfield services, utility companies, financial institutions, governments and not-for-profit organizations.

Over the course of his career, Cascadden has successfully represented clients in numerous arbitrations and before several tribunals, including the labour relations boards of Alberta, British Columbia and Canada.  He has also appeared before the superior courts and courts of appeal of Alberta and British Columbia, as well as before the Federal Court of Canada.

Recognized by Chambers Canada and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory as one the country's top employment and labour lawyers,  Cascadden worked at Gowling WLG from 2001 to 2007 before going on to join another major international law firm. He has published multiple articles and several books on employment law in Canada, and he currently teaches the Employment Law course at the University of Calgary Law School.

In recent years, he has served as a director of the Human Resources Association of Calgary, a member of the Mount Royal University Human Resources Advisory Committee, and a member of the National Executive of the Canadian Bar Association Labour and Employment Law Section.
