International law firm Gowling WLG is pleased to announce the arrival of Patrick Mousset as partner in the Corporate M&A / Private Equity department in Paris. The appointment is in line with the expansion strategy of the Paris office and underlines its commitment to continued growth in France.
Patrick Mousset's main areas of expertise are private equity and mergers and acquisitions, in particular to support French and foreign clients in setting up, build-up and disposal operations. For nearly 20 years, he has been advising French and Anglo-Saxon investment funds notably on the structuring of their investments and divestments, as well as active majority or minority shareholders, officers and managers of companies under LBO, and companies on their expansion projects, including joint ventures.
His experience in advising management teams on the structuring, negotiation and evolution as well as on the restructuring of their packages, distinguishes him from leading players in main national and international lawyer rankings.
Admitted to both the Paris and Montreal Bars, he began his career with leading Canadian law firms in Montreal and Toronto before joining American and Anglo-Saxon law firms in Paris. His background, combined with his experience in leading international law firms, fits perfectly with Gowling WLG's identity and makes him an essential partner for our cross-border synergies.
