Gowling WLG advises on £30 million professional services acquisition

A multi-skilled team of experts from Gowling WLG has advised law firm Memery Crystal LLP on its sale to AIM-listed professional services group RBG Holdings plc for a total of £30 million.

Memery Crystal is a London-based law firm which was founded in 1978. At the date of exchange the firm has 146 employees, including 29 partners, and an additional 66 fee earners. RBG Holdings plc is a professional services group which includes specialist dispute resolution law firm Rosenblatt Limited (RBL).

Gowling WLG's advisory team was led by corporate partner Hugh Maule, joined by principal associate Alex Davidson. Legal director Anna Colley led on the property aspects of the deal, partner Christopher Stiles and senior associate Stephanie Nicholls-Hinks on pensions, consultant Michael Murphy on tax and employment partners Jane Fielding and Martin Chitty also advised.
