Gowling WLG is pleased to announce that Aimee Halfyard, a lawyer with experience in the technology sector, has returned to the firm as a partner. She will be based in the Vancouver office.
Aimee, who focuses her legal practice on private M&A, private equity, corporate commercial transactions, and corporate governance, joins the firm from Appnovation – a global, full-service digital consultancy headquartered in Vancouver. There, she worked as general counsel and vice-president, legal affairs.
Throughout her career, Aimee has advised multinational corporations, private equity funds, and technology start-ups on a wide range of complex domestic and cross-border corporate transactional matters, earning a reputation with clients for offering innovative solutions and sound guidance.
"Aimee's experience has provided her with a great deal of insight into the needs of tech companies in British Columbia, especially start-ups and scale-ups," says Brent Kerr, managing partner of Gowling WLG's Vancouver office.
