Brent Arnold, a Toronto-based partner and head of the firm's Commercial Litigation Technology sub-group, has joined the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), the preeminent invitation-only global legal organization for lawyers who represent corporate and insurance interests.

Founded in 1920, the IADC has approximately 2,500 members worldwide. The IADC's primary objectives are to enhance the development of skills, promote professionalism, and facilitate camaraderie among its members and their clients, as well as the broader civil justice community.

"It's an honour to be invited to join a prestigious organization such as the IADC," said Brent. "I'm excited for the opportunity to work alongside corporate defense lawyers and insurance executives to share new ideas and develop business strategies to further benefit our clients."

At Gowling WLG, Brent is a member of the firm's Advocacy department, focusing in cyber security and commercial litigation. He currently serves as the corporate secretary for the Internet Society (Canada Chapter), and as steering committee vice chair for the Cybersecurity and Data Privacy section of the US-based Defence Research Institute (DRI).
