Jasmine Samra joins Gowling WLG's Intellectual Property Group
Gowling WLG is pleased to announce that Jasmine Samra has joined the firm's Intellectual Property (IP) Group as counsel in Toronto.
Recognized as a certified information privacy professional by the International Association of Privacy Professionals, Jasmine acts on behalf of clients across a variety of industries on a broad range of privacy and cyber security matters. She advises companies on privacy compliance and data protection issues, and provides privacy advice relating to corporate transactions, outsourcing arrangements and transborder data flows.
Jasmine has extensive experience supporting clients with requests under Canada's Access to Information Act and provincial freedom of information legislation, and with the requirements of Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Jasmine served as senior counsel at one of Canada's largest financial institutions, where she was responsible for providing legal advice with respect to privacy, cyber security and social media policy issues for various lines of businesses.
