Aaron Hunter joins Gowling WLG's Infrastructure and Construction Group
Gowling WLG is pleased to announce that Aaron Hunter has joined the firm's Infrastructure and Construction Group as a partner in Toronto.
A corporate lawyer with significant experience in the mining and energy sectors, Aaron has an extensive background in structuring, drafting and negotiating complex commercial contracts, with a focus on the development of major capital projects. He helps owners, contractors, suppliers and other stakeholders navigate critical procurement processes for mining, sustainable energy, conventional construction and infrastructure projects.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Aaron served as in-house counsel at two global engineering firms and in a hybrid legal and business role at a large Canadian mining company with assets in North America, South America and Africa. While working in these roles, Aaron developed experience advising on supply chain management, the licensing of industrial processes, third-party risk and strategic relationships for the development and commercialization of new technologies.
"Aaron's business acumen and deep sector experience, combined with his ability to provide practical and innovative advice at every stage of a project life cycle, will greatly benefit our clients," said Ted Betts, head of Gowling WLG's Infrastructure and Construction Group. "He possesses strong problem-solving skills and can advise organizations on how to implement the best possible solutions for their long-term success."
