Alana Scotchmer joins Gowling WLG's Financial Services Regulation Group

Gowling WLG is pleased to welcome Alana Scotchmer to its Financial Services Regulation Group as a partner in the firm's Toronto office.

Alana joins Gowling WLG from a multinational financial institution, where she worked as senior legal counsel.

Widely regarded as a skilled legal practitioner in the financial industry, Alana advises Canadian and foreign financial institutions and service providers on Canadian regulatory, compliance and corporate governance matters, including with respect to transactions, payments and consumer issues. In addition, she has significant experience helping clients navigate reorganizations, mergers and acquisitions, financings, and licensing matters within the FinTech and financial intermediary sectors across Canada.
