A more sophisticated approach to diversity data: Neena Gupta quoted in Canadian HR Reporter
In a recent Canadian HR Reporter article, Neena Gupta discussed proposed amendments to the Employment Equity Act aimed at improving diversity, equity and inclusion in federal workplaces. Among the proposed changes is a requirement that employers approach their diversity data gathering and analysis activities with a greater degree of nuance and refinement.
“[The recommendations are] a recognition that we need to be much more exact and granular in our analysis,” said Neena. “Employers who are simply doing the traditional four buckets … are going to have to be much more sophisticated about their information-gathering processes.”
