Adam Lewinberg is a partner in Gowling WLG's Toronto office. His practice focuses on complex procurements and large multifaceted construction projects, including public-private partnership/alternative finance projects (P3/AFP), large complex linear construction, district energy, hospital, courthouse, rail, light rail and data centre projects, as well as projects in Canada's North and other remote areas.
Adam has a wide range of experience throughout the P3/AFP project lifecycle, having helped private sector clients manage procurement, financing, construction, operations, facilities maintenance and dispositions of P3/AFP projects in almost every jurisdiction in Canada and in several US states. Adam's experience includes helping clients manage and avoid defaults and restructurings in the P3/AFP space.
Adam also has a broad corporate/commercial practice with an emphasis on technology, which includes advising on business acquisitions and dispositions, corporate governance matters, legal precedents and processes for ongoing business operations, and a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Adam was an associate general counsel at a corporation with a diverse portfolio of businesses in the construction and facilities maintenance industries, including P3/AFP, energy, remote camps and oil sands services. Prior to becoming a lawyer, Adam had a successful career as a software engineer.
