Alexander De Sousa is an associate in Gowling WLG's Hamilton office, where he helps clients navigate the intricate landscapes of lending and real estate and transactions.
Alexander supports lenders and borrowers by safeguarding their interests and securing their transactions. He has worked with a diverse range of clients, including large financial institutions, private lenders, developers, and small to mid-range companies across various industries.
With a JD/MBA dual degree from Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business, Alexander's passion lies at the intersection of law and business. This blend allows him to bring a unique perspective to his practice, addressing not only the legal aspects but also the broader business implications for his clients.
During law school, Alexander was a member of Osgoode Hall's Mediation Clinic, where he facilitated mediations in the local community. During his MBA, he was part of the Schulich School of Business Case Team, participating in various case competitions, leading to first-place finishes at the DeGroote Strategy and MBA Games competitions.
Prior to joining Gowling WLG, Alexander worked with startups and small businesses at various stages of their growth, helping them navigate unique business and technology concerns.
