Alexandra Poynter helps clients to deliver a range of unique, complex, high value infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships.
She has experience across a range of sectors, including defence, security, energy and utilities, leisure, highways, education, IT, waste and environmental services.
Alexandra has acted for a range of private and public sector clients and has an understanding of their varying needs and priorities, and the political issues that can frequently impact on large-scale, high-value infrastructure projects. She can offer a commercial, pragmatic perspective as well as excellent project management skills, reinforced by the experience of managing complex projects and completions and the ability to maintain a calm, 'can do' attitude under pressure.
Having an understanding of outsourcing projects and other commercial deals, Alexandra is familiar with a range of contractual agreements (including project agreements, power purchase agreements, direct agreements, operating agreements, supply agreements, partnering agreements, variation agreements, commission agreements, sub-contracts, guarantees, finance documents and exit agreements), technical specifications, financial papers, procurement documents and bid submissions, and is comfortable working on high-value deals (in excess of £1 billion).
Alexandra has experience of working across the lifetime of a project, from the initial procurement (assisting with negotiations and dialogue, and drafting and completing project agreements and contractual documents), to dealing with matters that arise during the operation of the contract (meeting with parties to agree the way forward and drafting variations) and the end-of-contract phase (drafting exit agreements and planning for the post-contract stage or transfer to a new service provider), helping her clients to achieve their desired outcomes at each stage.
