Alice Loughney

Alice is an associate in the Employment, Labour and Equalities Team. Her experience ranges from bringing and defending high profile employment claims, to providing specialist advice on mergers, acquisitions, IPOs and outsourcings, to helping clients avoid and resolve everyday employment problems. Alice regularly delivers training sessions and workshops to help legal and HR teams keep up to speed with compliance and best practice on issues from sexual harassment to GDPR.

Alice draws experience from working with a wide range of clients, including technology start-ups, multi-national corporates, senior executives and public sector bodies.


  • Successfully represented a global technology company in protecting its confidential information, which was at risk of misuse by its former CEO.
  • Helped household names across the technology, retail and construction sectors to implement GDPR-compliant HR practices, policies and training programmes.
  • Advised a local authority facing claims from multiple litigants claiming to have transferred under TUPE from elsewhere in the public sector following a national reorganisation.
  • Designed and delivered an anti-harassment training programme for a financial services firm in the wake of the #metoo movement.
